About the event
Another Life Foundation and Sims-Fayola Foundation of Denver, Colorado.
Have formed a collaboration/partnership to present, The Black Youth Project.
This project is focused on bringing awareness and stressing the importance of mental wellness, especially among Black youth.
Another Life Foundation will present an 30-minute, 4 -sessions a year, virtual wellness seminar.
Each seminar will feature a different Black male speaker. These speakers will have a lively discussion with Black youths about the importance of mental wellness, and seeking help, if help is needed.
First up, the speaker is!
- Kevin Berthia, mental health advocate
Those in attendance will have the opportunity to ask questions and get feedback.
Also, those in attendance will:
- have the opportunity to win a free hair cut coupon to redeem at participating barbershops in the Colorado Springs and Denver, Colorado area,
- receive mental health resources, that will be available to their parents,
- receive a one free mental health therapy/counseling session with a professional.
