Another Life Foundation

Another Life Foundation (Alifef) is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization. Alifef was founded in 2004 to offer services to individuals battling with mental illness and suicidal behaviors.

Our services include public speakers, mental health professional resources, educational services, public awareness campaigns, and health equity advocacy programs. ​

​

Our goal is to provide health, economic/financial, and mental wellness resources and support to all. Thus achieving health equity.

Another Life Foundation has partnered with the IRS to offer FREE income tax preparation to eligible community members.

 

We also have Certifying Acceptance Agents (CAAs) who are authorized to authenticate and submit Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) client applications with the IRS.  

• ITIN applications and renewals are done- (for a fee).

• And the filing of Federal and state tax returns is done- (free of charge).

  Steps to completing your return:

Please download, complete, and bring the intake document with your tax information to our drop-off location.

​

1. Drop it off – Bring in your (1) completed intake document, (2) copies of your ID, (3) copies of Social Security cards for every one reported on the tax return, (4) all tax documents, and (5) voided check if you want direct deposit. 

2. One to five days – Your return is prepared remotely. A VITA Certified Tax Preparer will contact you by phone or email if any questions arise while it’s being prepared and reviewed. 

3. Completion – Once your return is quality reviewed. A VITA Certified Tax Preparer will contact you to set up an appointment to review and sign your return. It will not be filed until it is reviewed and signed by you (and your spouse, if applicable).
